TAS has won the 2009 President's "E" Award for Export

Press Release  |  Nov 17, 2009

Diversified green energy company TAS was one of 21 companies in the U.S. and one of two recipients in Texas to win this prestigious award. The President’s ‘E’ Award is the highest honor the federal government can give to any domestic entity that has made significant contributions to the increase of American exports. “Today we celebrate the achievements of companies that have shown the foresight and ability to grow and prosper through a strong export strategy. Exporting U.S.-manufactured goods and services plays an important role in rebuilding the American economy and creating jobs at home,” U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said. “With 95 percent of the world’s consumers living outside our borders, there is great potential to boost economic growth and to create new jobs in America through exporting.” Congress Woman Sheila Jackson Lee was present, in support of the two companies from Texas that are in her district. TAS Founder Tom Pierson and President Mike Brady accepted the award in a ceremony honored by U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke on Nov. 5th., at the National District Export Council Conference. “We are honored to be recognized in this manner and will continually increase our efforts to bring Renewable Energy Systems to the World,” Founder Tom Pierson said.
