TAS systems are also employed in campus environments with district cooling applications.  Significant efficiencies can be gained by constructing a central plant facility and then piping chilled water to individual buildings.  Further cost reductions can be achieved by installing a centralized thermal energy storage tank, which enables plant operators to charge the tank during lower cost night and evening hours.
